Oh, my word….
What has just happened?
So, I’ll give you the back story. I’m meeting someone new, another mum with a toddler roughly the same age as mine for a play date. In a small soft play area. I’ve got my daughter too.
It’s really busy in this small soft play area with no seats available. A lovely mum who spoke English said we could sit with her at their table. Thank you!
Let’s get down to the climax of the story…poop!
Yep, that’s right…poop!
My son suffers from constipation and is on medication for it. We need to give him one sachet of Florax in the morning (it’s a make that we get here in Czech, in the UK we used to have Laxido). If he’s really bad, he has one in the morning and one at lunchtime.
So he doesn’t poop often. But when he does…. You’ve guessed it!
The one day I go out with no spare clothes
We’ll only be out for 2 hours or so, I don’t think he’ll poo in that time
What an idiot I was 🤣
Hold on to your seat cos you’re going to fall laughing at this list of events.
- So he pooped. Wasn’t too bad to start off with. His sister was in the soft play area with him helping him climb (he’s quite short love him). As she’s helping him up a step, she pushes him up by his bum, pushing the poo up from his nappy at the same time. Up out of the nappy and up his back!
- So she pulls him down…and gets poo all over her leg!!
- She brings him to me and we all go to the toilet. I strip him naked. Yes, there’s poop over his clothes. ALL of my wet wipes had to be used to clean both of them.
And I didn’t have any spare clothes!!
- As luck would have it, the soft play area were having a charity second-hand clothes stall. So with just his nappy on, we went to look for some clothes.
Found some. Perfect. The soft play only takes cash…and I only have a card!
Seriously?!
The lovely lady that I only just met, said “don’t worry, I’ll pay for them” – she paid for our drinks and play too!
My saviour. Thank you so so much. From one mum to another, she saved me and we laughed about it.
Mums… I hear you. If you’re in difficulty, ask for help. No doubt all the other mums have been there. We’ll be there to hold each other.
I would without a second thought, give you our nappies, wet wipes, clothes, and money. Whatever you and your child needs. Please, just ask.
Let’s all be kind, supportive and reach out to one another.
